Spencer

With the blessing of the abbot, the monks visited many Trappist breweries around Europe to gather data and ideas, and as they slowly made their way around Belgium where they made many friends and drank the world's best  beer, they brought together a plan for a new brewery, where they would brew America's first Trappist beer. Observing Trappist tradition, they named their brewery and their Beer "Spencer" after their beloved town of Spencer, MA.
