The Rothaus brewery was founded in 1791 by the Benedictine monastery of St. Blasien at the restaurant "Zum Rothen Haus", which has been on record since 1681. It is also Germany’s highest brewery by elevation, at 1,000 meters above sea level. Situated in Germany’s beautiful Black Forest. Today, Rothaus is accredited as one of the most successful breweries in Germany, largely due to the high quality of their products.
