König Ludwig Schloßbrauerei

König Ludwig Schlossbrauerei is a historic Bavarian brewery with royal heritage, famous for producing high-quality traditional German beers.  The brewery’s roots trace back to the House of Wittelsbach, one of Bavaria’s oldest and most influential royal families.  The Wittelsbach dynasty, which ruled Bavaria for over 700 years, had a deep connection to brewing, including establishing the famous Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law) of 1516.

The brewery is best known for its König Ludwig Weissbier, a top-tier Hefeweizen, but it also produces a range of classic Bavarian beer styles.  Their dedication to traditional brewing methods and premium ingredients ensures an authentic taste that reflects Bavaria’s rich beer culture.

Located in Kaltenberg, Bavaria, the brewery is closely linked to King Ludwig II, the famed "Fairy Tale King" who built Neuschwanstein Castle.  To this day, König Ludwig Schlossbrauerei continues to brew beer fit for royalty, combining history, quality, and Bavarian tradition in every sip.
