Arcobräu is a brewery in the Lower Bavarian small town of Moss, in South Eastern Germany, close to the Austrian and Czech borders. The brewery has been owned by the Arco-Zinneberg family for 450 years and is one of the larger breweries in the region.
Helles has been brewed there since 1910, whereby the Mooser Liesl became famous in 1922 with a large folk festival due to the attractive barmaid 'Liesl'.
Traditionally, the Bavarian Helle is brewed with bottom fermentation and is still served in the teapot in the tavern in the castle. Liesl, the barmaid at the time, was named godmother for the light of the Arcobräu brewery in moos.
